Sue has been performing since the age of 4 in singing, dance and acting.
She studied singing at the Birmingham Conservatoire, and has performed around the Midlands and in France, latterly in Derbyshire. Although classically trained and with a love of opera, she has recently joined the vocal ensemble Peak Voices and broadened her repertoire to include musical theatre and film music.
Since moving to Derbyshire Sue has also been a volunteer at Ashgate Hospice. This album combines her musical passion with her support and interest in Ashgate Hospice. It is an eclectic mix of songs with something for everyone.
Ashgate Hospice is an independent registered charity that provides specialist palliative care, both in the hospice and community settings, for adults in North Derbyshire. The needs of the patients, their families, friends and carers are fundamental to the philosophy of the hospice. The Hospice team work together with energy, care and compassion to help patients achieve the best possible quality of life in accordance with their wishes.
Whether you’re living with a life-limiting illness, caring for someone who is, or grieving the death of a loved one, they are there to help. They have lots of helpful resources to ensure everyone gets the best possible support at the end of their lives.
Ashgate Hospice is not an NHS hospice. So, while extra funding has recently been announced by the Government for health and social care, charities like theirs rely on the donations and goodwill of supporters to provide their care as much as ever. Every £1 donated to Ashgate Hospice makes a huge difference.
